This important day is a worldwide dedication to encourage the promotion and protection of children’s rights, as well as to bring awareness to the challenges and barriers to ensuring children’s safety. It’s also a story about families who have incredible resilience and never stop hoping. 

  • This is the day for the amazing people who work to defend children every day the world over.
  • According to Polly Klaas Foundation, 99.8% of children reported missing return their home safely.

 IMPORTANT OPERATIONS FOR MISSING PERSONS & CHILDREN


Several dedicated operations are underway in India to locate and rescue missing children:

  1. OPERATION SMILE & OPERATION MILAP ​
    • Muskan and Operation Milap aim to rescue missing children.  
  2. OPERATION MILAP 
    • Led by Delhi Police, focused on rescuing missing children.  
  3. OPERATION SMILE 
    • Led by Hyderabad Police, working to reunite missing children with their families. 
  4. OPERATION MUSKAN 
    • Led by Telangana Police, dedicated to finding and protecting missing children.
